DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING CONTENT
“English for Educators: Collaboration & Global Connections” is an advanced, practice-oriented masterclass specifically designed for teachers and school staff who already possess a solid intermediate level of English (B1–B2) and wish to strengthen their ability to communicate effectively in international contexts. As European schools increasingly engage in cross-border partnerships, Erasmus+ projects, joint activities, and global exchanges, the ability to collaborate confidently and appropriately in English has become an essential professional skill.
This course focuses on the specific communicative demands educators face in international cooperation, including project communication, intercultural teamwork, meeting participation, online collaboration, negotiation, problem-solving, presentation skills, and conflict management. Through interactive workshops, simulations of real-life international scenarios, and targeted language development sessions, participants gain both the linguistic tools and collaborative strategies needed to work effectively with European and global partners.
Educators learn to adapt their communication to multicultural settings, build trust with international colleagues, use professional English more accurately and persuasively, and navigate complex collaborative tasks with clarity and confidence. The course also strengthens digital communication skills relevant to virtual mobility, eTwinning, and other online cooperative platforms.
Main Aims
The course aims to support participants in developing the skills required to engage successfully in international cooperation. By the end of the programme, educators will:
• Strengthen advanced communication skills for Erasmus+ collaboration and cross-border teamwork
• Master professional English for meetings, presentations, correspondence and project-based tasks
• Develop intercultural competence and global awareness for multilingual settings
• Acquire vocabulary and expressions specific to international cooperation and mobility
• Increase confidence when speaking in multicultural groups or mixed-profession teams
• Enhance their ability to negotiate, solve problems, and build partnerships across countries
• Improve clarity and accuracy in spoken and written communication for international projects
• Learn strategies for managing misunderstandings and maintaining positive group dynamics
Why this course?
European and international cooperation are at the heart of Erasmus+. Schools and organisations routinely collaborate with partners across the continent, requiring teachers to participate in virtual meetings, joint project tasks, mobility activities, study visits, and international exchanges. Effective communication is therefore crucial—not only linguistic accuracy, but also intercultural sensitivity, strategic collaboration, and the ability to operate confidently in multilingual environments.
This course offers a safe, supportive and highly interactive environment where educators practise the types of communication required in real Erasmus+ settings. From preparing joint project documents to participating in simulated meetings, teachers strengthen their ability to work professionally, respectfully and competently with colleagues from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
The course is particularly valuable for teachers who:
• participate in KA1 or KA2 projects
• engage in job shadowing or European networks
• represent their school abroad
• collaborate in eTwinning or virtual exchanges
• lead or support international partnerships
